Diana Amaya
Hello, I’m Diana — Lead Trainer and creator of Divine Aura Yoga School. My path into yoga wasn’t linear or polished. I came to this practice as a school teacher looking for a way to steady myself, to breathe a little deeper, and to understand the parts of me that didn’t always have space in everyday life. More than ten years later, yoga has become both my anchor and my compass.
My teaching is shaped by the many worlds I move through: the classroom, the studio, the communities I’ve built, and the people who have trusted me with their practice. Over the years, I’ve trained in traditional Hatha, prenatal, restorative, meditation, and somatic approaches, and all of these influence the way I guide students. What matters most to me is creating spaces where people don’t have to perform yoga — they get to experience it. Spaces where breath matters as much as movement, where slowing down is seen as strength, and where our practice becomes a way of understanding ourselves more honestly.
As a Lead Trainer, I hold a deep responsibility to teach with integrity and to honour the roots of yoga while making the practice accessible, trauma-informed, and culturally respectful. I don’t believe in one “right” way to be a yogi. I believe in meeting yourself exactly where you are, and allowing the practice to reveal what you need next.
What I love about YTT is watching people unfold into themselves.
Not in dramatic, movie-moment ways, but in the quieter shifts:
the first time you trust your breath more than your doubt,
the moment you realize stillness can be powerful,
the way your voice begins to steady when you teach from your own truth.
Whether you are here to deepen your personal practice or step into teaching, I want this journey to feel like a homecoming. A place where you learn, explore, question, strengthen, soften, and recognize that everything you need has always been within you.

Embodied Anatomy Educator
Rachelle Gura
With over 20 years of experience teaching movement, anatomy, and embodied mechanics, Rachelle Gura brings exceptional depth and clarity to our YTT team. She has been a dedicated movement educator since 1998, specializing in Pilates, functional anatomy, biomechanics, breathwork, pelvic floor health, and therapeutic movement.
Rachelle’s work is rooted in the belief that when we truly understand the body, we move with more intelligence, confidence, and ease. Her teaching style blends precision with accessibility, helping students develop a clear understanding of how structures, systems, and patterns work together in real time on the mat.
Over the course of her career, she has mentored hundreds of movement practitioners and teachers, guiding them to:
• Build an embodied understanding of anatomy rather than memorizing terms
• Connect movement patterns to breath, alignment, and nervous system regulation
• Teach with confidence, clarity, and inclusive language
• Support diverse bodies through safe and functional cueing
• Appreciate the relationship between structure, stress, and sustainable movement
In our YTT program, Rachelle leads the anatomy and biomechanics modules, offering students a grounded and integrative approach to learning. Her sessions bring anatomy alive — transforming it from a textbook subject into a practical, empowering foundation for both personal practice and teaching.
We are honoured to have Rachelle as part of our faculty. Her knowledge, presence, and passion will support you in becoming a more informed, confident, and embodied yoga teacher.

Conscious Movement Educator
Melanie Frome
Hello, I’m Melanie—movement teacher, optimystic, author, occasional chaos goblin, and someone who has rebuilt her life (and body) more times than seems reasonable for one human lifetime. I didn’t come to movement because I was zen or disciplined; I came because life drop-kicked me onto a yoga mat in 2010 and said, “figure it out.” Since then, I’ve completed more than a dozen trainings across yoga, Pilates, mobility, and functional strength: all of which helped me integrate the symbiotic relationship that movement has with mental health. Over the years I’ve taught across Canada, the US, and the UK in studios, community programs, and corporate settings; owned a studio; presented at wellness shows; and worked with humans in every kind of body (including my own, which has lived everywhere from smaller to much, much softer, with perimenopause now adding her own uninvited plot twists). I teach the way I live: honestly, intuitively, and with the kind of grounded real-talk that makes room for humour, humanity, and a whole lot of permission. I believe movement is more than technique—it’s a kind of alchemy, a way of integrating the physical and emotional so people can feel more like themselves again. What I care about most in teacher development is helping people show up as themselves—not a copy of their favourite instructor, not a curated wellness persona, but the version that feels grounded, honest, and human. This practice asks a lot of us, not just physically but in how we lead, communicate, and hold space. And because teaching often turns you into a one-person business (whether you planned for it or not), I’m passionate about helping new teachers figure out who they are so the work they create doesn’t burn them out or box them in. If you value spaces that honour curiosity, honesty, and the beautifully messy middle, this work will meet you there. I don’t carry all the answers, but I know how to hold space for the questions—and help you tune into the wisdom your body already holds.

Embodied Yoga Educator & Holistic Nutritionist
Kelsey Drha
Hello! My name is Kelsey and I am a Holistic Nutritionist, Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher and Sound Journey Practitioner. I am thrilled to be part of the YTT faculty, as it has been a passion of mine to share the practice of yoga with others.
I don’t believe that yoga is defined by being able to touch your toes, twist into a pretzel or perfect complex arm balances. I believe that it is so much more than that. Yoga is about connecting with the body and the breath to: cultivate discernment, practice mindfulness, develop interoception skills, promote self-regulation, build confidence & self esteem, regulate the nervous system, become more aware and to slow down.
My yoga practice has shifted significantly since the onset of my practice nearly a decade ago. I remember chasing those fast paced, high heat classes that left me feeling strong, capably and sweaty! However, after moving through my own nervous system healing, there was a shift that happened. I fell in love with the slower, deeper, nourishing and uncomfortable practice of yoga that asks more from you beyond physical strength. It asks you to slow down, to sit with discomfort, to get curious and to just be. In my experience, that is where the true healing happens....
...the moment when you choose discomfort rather than ease.
...the moment you pause, rather than launching yourself into the next thing.
...the moment when you so desperately want to flee, but you choose to stay and breathe.
...the moment when you use the dang prop even though no one else is!
It is those moments when we truly step into our being both on and off the mat.
Whether you are looking to deepen your practice or become a yoga teacher, my hope is that through your YTT journey you develop a deep connection to Self, you find your strong and confident voice within and that you nourish parts of you that crave to be seen, heard and loved.
