Service Description
Our Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training is a comprehensive 95-hour hybrid program, designed for yoga teachers, movement professionals, and birth-workers who wish to confidently and compassionately support people through pregnancy. This training includes a blend of in-person training hours, guided self-study, and reflective integration, allowing you to move through the material with depth while balancing real-life commitments. In-person weekends focus on embodiment, practice teaching, discussion, and community connection, while self-study hours support theory, reflection, and integration at your own pace. This program goes beyond sequencing poses for pregnancy. It invites you into a deeper understanding of the pregnant body, nervous system, emotional landscape, and the profound transition into parenthood. You will learn how to create classes that are safe, empowering, inclusive, and rooted in evidence-based anatomy while honouring the lived experiences of pregnant bodies. What You’ll Learn • Anatomy and physiology of pregnancy and birth • Trimester-specific considerations and contraindications • Pelvic floor, core function, breath, and pressure management • Modifications, props, and intelligent sequencing • Trauma-informed and inclusive language for prenatal spaces • Supporting emotional wellbeing, nervous system regulation, and rest • Common pregnancy discomforts and how to adapt movement safely • Ethics, scope of practice, and collaboration with healthcare providers • Teaching skills, cueing, observation, and hands-on practice Our Approach This training is grounded in choice-based cueing, consent, and accessibility. We recognize that pregnancy is not a single experience and that bodies, identities, and journeys vary widely. You will be supported in developing your own teaching voice while learning how to hold space with clarity, confidence, and care. Rather than memorizing rigid sequences, you will learn how to read the room, adapt in real time, and respond to the needs in front of you. Certification This is a Yoga Alliance–accredited 95-hour Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) program. Upon completion, you will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as an RPYT (with an existing 200-hour certification). Who This Training Is For • Yoga teachers wishing to specialize in prenatal yoga • Movement professionals expanding into prenatal work
